Action Learning
Action Learning is a powerful
way of supporting learning and problem solving within organisations.
It helps managers grapple with apparently intractable problems
by encouraging them to discuss the issues in a forum of
experienced colleagues; hence it supports a culture of collaboration
in the organisation.
These colleagues help, challenge and
support them by generating creative and practical solutions.
At the same time, individuals develop key skills in consulting
with others. This gives them the ability to practise participative,
rather than directive, management, which is more appropriate
in conditions of change and uncertainty.
Action Learning groups typically have
between six and eight participants and meet for a series
of one-day sessions over several months. We offer a flexible
approach, working with the needs of group members to maximise
the transfer of expertise. All our consultants are experienced
practitioners in Action Learning.
