Hyson
Senior Consultant
Peter brings more than 20 years experience in training,
coaching and consultancy. For the last nine years he has
specialised in leadership development, working with both
individuals and strategic teams to boost high performance.
He has clients in the public, private and not-for-profit
sectors.
Recent consultancies include working with Directors in
Professional Services promoted because of their exceptional
technical skills adjust to learning people-leadership skills;
a major Organisation Development project with a Government
Department to re-assess its work-culture and

These portfolio careers also reflect an eclectic range
of business skills and interests, including story-writing,
for both business and pleasure and he will shortly be publishing
a book about coaching and the “third IQ” -
spirituality.
As well as coaching, Peter has particular specialism in:
- Large-scale, multi-site consultation exercises, engaging
key stakeholders (up to 4000), deliberating and gaining
active commitment for focussed implementation
- Facilitating interventions that enable organisations
to realign their vision and effectively motivate
staff in implementation
- Large-scale OD (e.g. working with a large northern
Local Authority as it implemented privatisation of a
key responsibility – education - so that motivation,
commitment, efficiency and effectiveness are maximised)
- Setting up and running Action Learning Sets so that
participants take responsibility for their own sustainable
learning, focussed on business objectives
Peter is qualified to administer the Myers Briggs type
Indicator (MBTI) and System for Identifying Motivated Abilities
(SIMA). He has a Masters in Change Management & Organisation
Development. He is a member of the European Mentoring and
Coaching Council, the International Federation of Coaching
and the Association for Coaching. For work-life balance,
he is also a Magistrate in London, an active gym-user and
enjoys walking and travel. He has 2 + 2 children
and is married to Hilary.
