Michele
Lockwood-Edwards
Consultant
Michelle helps organisations to become more effective and
thereby successful. She does this by working with teams
and individuals to address issues around communications
and culture within the organisation.
“I am particularly interested
in working with clients to enable them to take a positive
approach to change. I enjoy the challenge of working with
people to empower them when they are ‘stuck’
or de-motivated.”
Michelle recently collaborated with staff in a GP practice
to organise themselves more productively to meet patient
needs and PCT targets. This involved not just supporting
staff to find solutions and implement change, but also helping
them to build confidence that change could be achieved.
Throughout 2003-2005, she has also been engaged as a NatPaCT
learning set facilitator, working with senior PCT and NHS
Trust managers. The programme covered a range of strategic
issues and the Action Learning proved particularly powerful
when it came to creating time to come up with and test ideas
interactively before implementing. The end result is the
creation of more and better options around complex change
agendas.
Michelle also works on coaching projects for senior managers
who have been promoted into new roles. And as a management
development specialist, she has considerable experience
of running training and development in the NHS.
Michelle has an MSc in Organisation Development and Consultancy
(Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University)
and is a chartered MCIPD. Her academic qualifications are
postgraduate Certificate in Education (Cambridge University),
BA Hons in English and German, and City and Guilds Certificate
in Adult Teaching 730.
