Malcolm Allitt
Director

Malcolm allies in-depth business experience with wide ranging consulting, coaching and teaching expertise. In the last eight years he has worked as a coach and facilitator to groups and individuals in both the public and private sector. And he has also made time to set up an international design and manufacturing business.

His most recent consultancy assignments include: helping the board of a hospital develop a new corporate strategy, mentoring the founders of a marketing company, and coaching the headmaster of a large secondary school. He says, “I like to work with diversity and help individuals and teams develop confidence and organisational competency.”

His expertise and experience is wide ranging:

  • Key member of a team that designed and delivered a pan-European leadership development programme to help managers at Nokia broaden their organisational perspective and increase business effectiveness.
  • In his role as lead tutor on a range of Ashridge Management College’s management development programme, he facilitates Action Learning groups made up of people with very different disciplines, cultures and experience.
  • Course tutor on a UK Ministry of Defence’s programme that aims to develop a world-class service culture within the ministry.
  • Assisted one of the ‘big five’ UK charities with a programme to find out how to make better use of their 30,000 volunteers. This involved facilitating discussion groups, generating ideas, and outlining recommendations for change.

Malcolm has 20 years experience in industry, the last five as managing director of two major international businesses. He is non-executive chairman of an international design and manufacturing company, a member of the board of a housing association and chairman of a local sports and social club. He is a chartered civil engineer and has an MBA from the London Business School.
