Denise
Casbolt
Consultant
Denise is an organisation consultant with a particular
experience in developing effective partnerships. Her passion
is in designing and facilitating new ways of working that
allow different organisations to join together to create
new possibilities. For over 24 years she has worked extensively
in Partnership Development to address Community Safety,
Crime and Disorder. This has involved working at a range
of levels; working closely with local communities, developing
Strategy with Sheffield City Council, as Partnership Director
with a Community Safety Partnership, and as a member of
several National advisory groups. Denise has also facilitated
and worked with individuals and groups through conflicts
and the constant organisational changes some of which are
a result of drastic legislative change this, including
the Criminal Justice Agencies, Local Authorities and the
Voluntary sector.
Whilst specialising in Partnership working, Denise’s
background in Psychology has helped with an understanding
of groups and of individual motivation. Her experience
of working with senior people in organisations- including
senior people in Government Departments helps bring grounding
and reality to her work. The theoretical base is complimented
by the practical experience in strategy development, project
management and implementing changes within and between
complex organisations.
In developing effective Partnerships, Denise works with
a wide range of Statutory, Voluntary, Private and Community
organisations. She has extensive experience of understanding
and working with the tensions this creates in terms of
different organisational cultures, access to resources
and power differentials. Rather than seeking to minimise
or ignore such differences, Denise sees these tensions
as a source of energy that enables creative solutions.
"I have a passion
about Partnership working and believe it yields significant
results in many environments. For Partnerships to fulfil
their potential time and\ energy must be given to making
them succeed. I believe that partnership work is a developmental
learning process that requires nurturing, as with any single
organisation or group. Helping individuals and groups deal
actively with the personal and organisational changes that
Partnership work entails is central to my work".
