Annie Medcalf
Consultant
By helping individuals and teams articulate and realise
their goals, Annie Medcalf contributes to the health and
success of the whole organisation. She calls her style, ‘a
fusion of support and challenge with an interesting ‘dollop’ of
creativity’. It’s all about getting people
to stretch themselves, to go beyond self-imposed limits.
Her most recent assignment is with the Department for
International Development in Zambia, where she has been
supporting the organisation as it goes through a process
of diagnosing strengths and priorities for the next stages
of development. A key part of this was facilitating the
senior team in creating a vision for growth. She also provided
managers and advisors with individual coaching to develop
their skills and aims.
Annie also has considerable experience in the development
and planning of training strategies. She recently collaborated
with a multi-national research centre to develop a programme
that directly contributes to the global business plan.
A key feature of this work was supporting the internal
consultants in its development.
She is passionate about supporting people in realising
their potential and this has naturally led to a range of
coaching assignments. She currently works with the senior
team at the National Probation Service in North Yorkshire
to enhance leadership capability and build a team of leaders
for the future. She also mentors school girls, helping
them to see what they can achieve and to make it happen.
Annie has an MBA from the Open University, a PhD in Organisational
Change from Leeds Business School, and a Post Graduate Certificate
in Executive Coaching from Leeds Metropolitan University.
She is a Fellow of the CIPD. |
